Hi, my name is Emma. If we haven’t met before, the most important thing to know about me is that I care deeply about openness. I believe in the power of intentional transparency to drive democratization and to create opportunity for everyone.

After many years of helping organizations like Mozilla, and companies like Microsoft get better at 'open', I now find find myself deep in a period of learning - this time around openness and AI. I'll share notes here on what I learn and build with hope that it helps someone else.

I am experimenting with a newsletter format, access is, of course, open. If I (or you) find it frustrating, I may just link to markdown files. We'll see how it goes. I did like Jekyll for that reason.
